FRIDAY, 13th May, 2022, the Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC) presented its initial findings and Zero Draft Bill on the Population and Development to the Ministry of Finance and National Planning, Department of Population.
The Commission was represented by Mrs. Hope N. Chanda (Director), Mr. Mwiba Mwenda (Research Coordinator) and Ms. Lina Jere (Senior Research Officer). The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Mr. Trevor Kaunda presided over the meeting. Other participants included staff of the Ministry, a representative of the Ministry of Justice (Legislative Drafting Department) and other stakeholders. The process is in its initial stage and members of the public will be engaged at an appropriate time once Cabinet approval in principle is granted.
