The Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC) is part of a Zambian delegation led by Solicitor General Marshal Muchende, SC visiting Berlin Germany under the auspices of the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ). The Commission is part of the selected institutions that are attending meetings with various legal institutions. The theme of the visit is ‘Strengthening the legal framework for the promotion of Investments’, aimed at “twinning Zambia with German to expand the legal cooperation between the two countries”.
According to the First Secretary (Press), Mr.Lubinda Kashewe, the initiative is also aiming to make Zambia attract affordable capital for investment by aligning its legal regime. He adds that the International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) project is an initiative of the Federal Republic of Germany and is supported by both the European Union and the German government.
He adds that the Zambian delegation includes officials from the Ministry of Justice, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ), and the Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC).
