Zambia Law Development Commission

ARE YOU A LANDLORD OR TENANT OF A RESIDENTIAL OR BUSINESS PROPERTY?

Please spare 5 minutes to take this quick survey.

The Zambia Law Development Commission is reviewing the Rent Act, Chapter 206 of the Laws of Zambia and the Landlord and Tenant (Business Premises) Act, Chapter 193 of the Laws of Zambia. The current legislation were both enacted in 1972 with a view to regulate residential and business premises.

In line with the ZLDC mandate to conduct research and make reccomendations for the review and development of legislation in Zambia, this review is crucial to identify modern values that are reflective of the societal needs of the people of Zambia.

It is against this background that Landlords and Tenants are asked to take this quick electronic survey that will greatly inform the Commission’s recommendations on possible areas of law reform.
