INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION PAYS A COURTESY CALL ON ZLDC

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) on Wednesday,16th February,2022 paid a courtesy call on the Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC) where matters of mutual interests were discussed. The Corporation was represented by Ms.Leah Mtonga Ngoma (Chief Legal Officer/Company Secretary) and Mr.James Kakondo Shawa (Senior Legal Counsel).
ZLDC was represented by Mr. Mwiba Mwenda (Research Coordinator), Mr. Michelo Muhyila (Administration Officer), Mrs. Twiza Mwaka Selemani (Finance Manager), Mr. Innocent Siachitoba (Research Officer), Ngela Munalula (Library and Information Officer and Mr. Noel Chulu (Researcher).As part of stakeholder engagement, Ms.Ngoma explained that the IDC was established in 2014 to be a purpose vehicle for promoting and engaging in investment ventures on behalf of Government.

She added that IDC has 36 parastatal companies under it and operates as a group of companies and is responsible for group policies that are applicable to all companies. Details of what IDC does can be read on its Website.
Mr.Mwiba highlighted the mandate of ZLDC, further calling on the Corporation to partner with the Commission on matters of mutual interest relating to law review and development.
