The Zambia Law Development Commission convened a structured brainstorming meeting on 11th February 2026 at the Office of the Administrator-General in Lusaka to initiate the review of the Administrator-General Act of Chapter 58 of the Laws of Zambia. The meeting brought together representatives from key Government institutions, financial institutions, academia, and civil society organisations to identify practical challenges in estate administration and to gather stakeholder perspectives to inform the reform process.
Following the successful holding of the Brainstorming meeting, the Commission convened a planning meeting from 16th to 18th March 2026 at Chikwa Lodge in Chilanga. The meeting brought together stakeholders from the Commission and the Administrator General’s office to deliberate on the development of the concept note, work plan, and budget for the review process, to ensure a structured, efficient, and consultative approach to modernising and improving the administration of estates.
